About the Contractor List

The Saint Louis Rehabbers Club has compiled a list of contractors and resources to assist our members in finding contractors to meet their particular needs. Contractors cannot nominate themselves. Each person or company appears on the list because of a personal referral from Rehabbers Club members. Since this is the only criteria for inclusion, it is STRONGLY recommended that you use this database as a starting point only - ask for references, do a web search and check the Better Business Bureau. Being listed on this web site shall not be viewed in any way as an endorsement by the Rehabbers Club or ReVitalize St. Louis.

The St. Louis Rehabers Club and ReVitalize St. Louis make no claim that the SLRC Contractor List is comprehensive, nor do we guarantee the quality or fitness of the services provided. We intend that our members will use it as one source for obtaining qualified bids. Anyone starting a home improvement project should take care to fully research potential contractors. Some options include: contacting the Better Business Bureau, checking references, and/or asking friends and others whose opinion you trust.

Remember, as the weather gets warm some contractors will get very busy and may not return phone calls. This is often because they simply don't have the time. This can be a very frustrating situation for a homeowner so we strongly suggest scheduling your contractor of choice as early in the year as you can or as soon as you know your construction timetable.

All expectations regarding deposits and payments should be discussed with contractor before any contracts are signed or any work begins. A good faith deposit may be expected at the beginning. This is standard practice and should not concern you - the typical deposit is one-third to one-half of the total project cost. Of course the amount always depends on the size of the project and the scope of work. One should never, ever, ever, ever, ever pay the full amount of a project up front. Any contractor asking for complete payment before work has begun should be treated with skepticism.

Please Remember:
Time is money to a contractor. Contractors on this list have not volunteered to serve as sounding boards or information sources. Don't take advantage of them. Please respect their time by calling the contractors on this list with SERIOUS inquiries for ACTUAL projects only.
